Precision Machining: High Quality, High Standards, High QA Requirements

When it comes to precision machining, there’s simply no room for error. That’s why it’s critical for any precision machining shop to have a process in place to avoid errors wherever possible—because, for many highly-precise industries, errors simply aren’t acceptable (and may be downright dangerous).

Getting there, however, requires a process—a process that may take decades of experience to refine, and which combines state-of-the-art technology, refined knowledge, and dedication to deliver the best possible results.

Here at Baron Machine, we pride ourselves on providing unmatched quality for businesses and organizations of all sizes, across multiple industries, to eliminate errors and maximize quality in every precision machining project we take on.

In order to ensure that our precision machining services deliver exactly what our customers require when they need it, we adhere to three basic principles: striving for high quality, setting high standards, and adhering to strict quality assurance requirements.

Here’s a closer look at how each of these factors plays a role in our precision machining services, and why each is so important to achieving the superior quality we’re proud to put our name on.

First Off: What Is Precision Machining?

While many CNC machining chops may be able to provide high-quality components for businesses in many commercial industries, few machinists provide the superior quality and reliability required for industries like aerospace, medical, and defense manufacturers.

For these crucial industries, precision is paramount—any small errors or overlooked details could result in major issues further down the production line, which can be both costly and dangerous. That’s why many of these businesses turn to precision CNC machinists like our professionals at Baron Machine.

We pride ourselves on bringing some of New England’s most reliable precision CNC machining skills to each and every project we take on, and our precision machining processes allow us to produce everything from small precision ground parts less than 0.250” in diameter to large machinery assemblies over 30 feet in length.

For customers in the medical industry, for instance, this degree of precision is hugely important. Medical devices are often remarkable small and delicate, and may often require machining to highly-specific dimensions to ensure effective use and protect patient safety. Without the right processes in place to ensure that quality, the medical device may not be useable for its specific, intended purpose.

But to achieve this superior quality and flexibility, our processes are guided by three core principles: high quality, high standards, and strict quality assurance requirements.

High-Quality Machining Starts Here

Whether we’re producing small, delicate tools for the medical industry or highly technical machinery parts for the aerospace and defense industries, precision is absolutely crucial to achieving a high-quality and reliable product.

One of the main reasons we’re able to supply such high-quality services is our highly-experienced staff. Baron Machine is proud to employ a team of technicians with years of service in the industry, refined knowledge, and the know-how it takes to consistently deliver the quality machined components that your applications require.

This intensive experience honed by decades in the industry, combined with the state-of-the-art technology we use throughout our processes, allows us to achieve superior quality and precision.

The result: Baron technicians have the experience, tools, and discipline to produce effective and accurate results regardless of the production requirement or lot size.

Why We Strive For—And Set—High Standards

In many cases, our customers require highly-specialized, precise, and reliable CNC machining—and they don’t have time to worry about poor quality or unresponsive customer service.

At Baron Machine, we do our best to solve that problem by starting all of our processes with extremely high production standards. By aiming for extremely high-quality production throughout the entirety of our machining process, we strive to avoid the kinds of problems and production issues that can set projects back before production even begins.

And, if adjustments are needed, we make it a point to make the process simple. Our goal is always to provide a level of responsive customer service that customers can count on each and every time.

We’ve been focused on providing quality machining services for decades. As a result, we’re proud to have satisfied clients in every industry who have come to expect comprehensive manufacturing services—from raw materials on hand, to the delivery of complex equipment.

Ensuring Precision with Strict Quality Assurance Requirements

While we may do everything we can to ensure top quality—driven by our extensive experience and our time-honed processes for ensuring quality—there’s no way to truly verify that quality without setting high standards.

With improved service to our diverse customers in mind, Baron Machine has developed and implemented a quality assurance system that ensures all of our finished products are of exceptional quality, all before they’re even delivered to the client.

Material traceability plays a crucial role in our quality assurance process. We retain traceability for every product that passes through our “manufacturing” process, and we also impose controls over any outside secondary processes. We also utilize statistical tools as appropriate during both the manufacturing and inspection processes to ensure that we conform to our predicted results.

As a result, we can be sure that our customers receive products that are 100% complete and guaranteed to meet their exacting standards.

Our precision machining processes at Baron Machine have been designed to comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements since April of 2009. Since then, our processes have also been assessed and approved by National Quality Assurance, U.S.A., against the provisions of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 and in accordance with the requirements of AS9104/1:2012
